Plant a Tree
A tree is planted for every LowToxBox® purchased and you become a member of 'LowToxTrees'. This helps to change the lives of people in developing countries by planting trees around the world helping both the local communities and the worlds environment.
‘Our #LowToxTrees mission is to plant 25,000 trees by 2028’
We are excited to partner with The Green Earth Appeal who is one of sixty-one worldwide Tree Planting Partners in the United Nations Environment’s Billion Tree Campaign*. The campaign started in 2006 and since then has successfully planted more than fifteen billion trees. This programme has encouraged partnership between governments, organisations, communities and individuals to work towards a better global future through the planting of trees.
The Billion Tree Campaign was inspired by the late Nobel Peace Prize winner, Professor Wangari Maathai, founder of the Green Belt Movement. When an executive in the United States told Professor Maathai their corporation was planning to plant a million trees, her response was: “That’s great, but what we really need is to plant a billion trees.”
Whilst planting trees may seem like a simple solution to a massive global problem, this one action can lessen the impact of global warming and enhance biodiversity. Trees are key in protecting the environment for future generations.
As part of #LowToxTrees we…
Offset Environmental Impact - By planting trees, we are offsetting the environmental impact of the packaging and distribution of your LowToxBox®.
Provide Food For Underprivileged Children – By planting fruit trees in Africa, Asia and South America you help provide sustainable sources of food for the communities who plant them.
Education In The Developing World – Educate farmers and their communities about agroforestry, which is how to use their farmland efficiently to ensure sustainable maximum yield year after year.
Stop Desertification – Plant a tree on deforested land and the root systems draw water to the surface and regenerate the soil.
We will email you to celebrate your tree being planted!
In planting trees, it is possible to increase the production of oxygen, absorb CO2, reduce soil erosion and its damaging effects to ensure the provision of habitat for wildlife.
Together we can make a difference!
